At Ekahi Surfboards, we start from a simple observation: surfboard prices have become too high, even for basic PU boards, which have a very limited lifespan. Surfers first and foremost, we were the first to complain about the price of surfboards. So we decided to act, and we do everything we can to offer you the best value for money.

We have also chosen durability and performance, because we are our own first customers. We surf our boards every day and we want them to last. A board that lasts is a board that is truly worth its price.
That’s what led us to EPS epoxy carbon: a construction that is more impact resistant, keeps its performance over time, and also delivers real dynamic qualities.

We work on every step of the manufacturing process to keep our costs under control: choice of materials, optimized production, direct supply chains.
Our goal isn’t to sell the cheapest board, but the fairest one: high performing, strong and durable, at a reasonable price.
No costly campaigns, no sponsorship, no marketing budget passed on to the price of your board. All our energy goes into developing our boards, with one single goal: premium performance and quality at the best possible price.
The price of a board depends directly on what goes into it and what it takes to deliver it to you. Several factors can vary from one season to the next.
EPS blanks, epoxy resin, fiberglass, carbon, fins and accessories.
Freight, fuel, packaging and delivery.
Manufacturing costs follow energy and labor costs.
Some of our components are purchased in foreign currencies.
Rather than cutting back on lamination quality, switching resins or skimping on carbon to hold a price, we prefer to adjust our prices when necessary. An Ekahi board must remain an Ekahi board, whatever the market conditions.
Yes. A board that is more impact resistant and keeps its performance over time needs replacing less often. Over several seasons, it’s the most cost effective choice.
No. The price displayed when you place your order is the price you pay.
Yes. If our costs drop, our prices drop too.
