Most competitor pads fail at the same spot: the junction between the kick tail and the flat section, where repeated flex peels the EVA away from the deck. Our pads are engineered specifically to solve that detachment point, so the grip you install in January is still there in December.
The same logic runs through our leashes durable urethane cord, stainless steel swivels and a padded cuff, sized to your exact board length rather than a generic “one size fits most” average.
Clean and dry the deck, then peel the 3M backing and press the pad from the center outward to avoid air bubbles, starting with the kick tail. Give it 24 hours before your first session so the adhesive fully cures.
On the tail, yes the pad gives you consistent grip and back-foot positioning that wax alone can’t match over time. Most surfers still wax the front third of the deck for paddling and front-foot grip.
Squash, Grom or Round, all three 3-piece pads with a 7mm arch bar for maximum back-foot leverage through turns. If you’d rather keep a purer, low-profile board feel, the 2-piece Flat pad works on the same boards without the arch.
