How to protect your board froam heat damage:
To avoid damaging your board due to heat exposure, follow these simple but effective tips:
Always store your board in the shade
Never leave your board in direct sunlight, even for a short time. As soon as you’re done using it, place it in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated area.
Use a thermal board bag
Invest in a reflective or insulated board bag. It helps reduce heat buildup by reflecting sunlight and insulating the board.
Never leave your board in the car
The inside of a vehicle can get extremely hot, even with the windows slightly open. Avoid storing your board in a car, especially on warm days.
Avoid placing your board on hot surfaces
Don’t leave your board on asphalt, hot sand, or any sun-heated surface. Use a rack or place it on a towel to prevent contact with radiant heat.
Rinse and dry after each session
Salt and moisture can worsen heat effects on your board. Rinse with fresh water and let it dry in the shade.
Inspect your board regularly
The inside of a vehicle can get extremely hot, even with the windows slightly open. Avoid storing your board in a car, especially on warm days.

Excessive heat can cause:
Delamination
Separation of the resin from the foam core, creating soft spots and weakening the board’s structure.
Gas build-up and blistering
Trapped air may expand, forming bubbles under the resin, often on the deck or underside.
Structural weakening
The epoxy may lose strength, making the board more prone to cracking.
Discoloration and fading
Prolonged sun exposure can cause yellowing or fading of the resin.
By following these simple tips, you’ll extend your board’s life and maintain its performance over time.
